A FORMER Catholic priest, Stephen Pohl, has been jailed for almost three years after looking at child pornography. A 10-year-old student told his parents that he felt “weird” about some photos that a Catholic priest had taken.
Stephen Pohl, aged 57 used to be head pastor at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Louisville. According to police, the Catholic priest asked the boy to “place his hands on his knees and move his legs apart” for the pics. Once the boy told his parents about that, they confronted the priest, asking him to show them all the images on his cell phone. As a result, the parents found several pictures of other young boys. The whole story is here.
It is great when your kids can tell everything to you. But can you be totally sure that your kid will tell you anything about he or she feels “weird”? Maybe your kids will discuss such issues with their friends?
