Whatsapp planning on letting its user ‘unsend’ messages

WhatsApp one of the leading messaging apps with over a billion users is planning on introducing something new to the chatting world.

This feature will enable users to ‘unsend’ messages or remove them from the recipient’s phone before they have a chance to read it.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing this feature in its beta version, it will be available on iOS platform soon. This feature will offer WhatsApp users an opportunity to revoke or edit messages they have sent in the period of 5 minutes. This will be useful for users who mistype or might be embarrassed by the messages they send.

However, it is not really clear if it would include texts already delivered and read and for those that are still in transit. This feature will be optional and users will need to either enable it in Settings in a similar way to the ‘last online’ or ‘read’ notifications.

Besides the ‘unsend’ button feature, WhatsApp will be thrilling its users with the live messages that allow their users to send information that changes in real-time for a period of time. An example is when you want to find a friend on a busy street you can send live location for about 5 minutes until you find your friend. Interesting times ahead!
